Shipping & Delivery

Q: How do you ensure the coffee I receive is fresh? Order your desired beans, we roast daily so your coffee is always fresh. We operate on a "Roast to Order" model, meaning we don’tpre-roast beans to sit on a warehouse shelf. This active approach ensures your coffee is dispatched "super fresh," arriving at your door just days after being roasted. This sets us apart as most supermarket options often sit in warehouses, transit or on shelves for months, losing their aromatic integrity. Our rapid turnaround preserves the delicate flavour compounds responsible for that first-sip depth.

Q: Where are orders dispatched from? All orders are roasted and dispatched directly from our facility in Windsor Gardens, South Australia.

Q: How does the delivery speed compare to other options? We prioritise a rapid turnaround, generally despatched the same day as ordered if ordered by 11am to ensure the quick delivery experience is received as highlighted by our community. Because we roast and ship locally from Adelaide, you avoid the long lead times associated with mass-market distributors. You receive a product with intentional clarity and aroma, rather than the generic bitterness associated with dark roasted, stale, store-bought coffee.

Our Coffee & Freshness

Q: What is the recommended window for maximum enjoyment? While coffee is a shelf-stable product, its peak flavour profile where the delicate acidity and sweetness are most vibrant is best enjoyed within 3  weeks of the roast date. In saying that, our coffee if stored correctly will still bring you joy for up to 6 weeks.

Pro-Tip: Technical Storage for Longevity To minimise oxidation and preserve the CO2 degassing process essential for flavor development, store your beans in their original sealed bag. Ensure the bag is kept in a cool, dark environment, away from direct light and heat sources.

Q: How do I choose the right coffee for my palate? Whether you prefer a consistent, balanced cup or a journey through a specific terroir, we have a selection designed for technical excellence. For those who enjoy a curated surprise, we recommend the Roaster’s Choice.

Q: How do I set up a subscription? Setup is a streamlined 4-step process:

  1. Select Bean: Choose your preferred blend or single origin or roaster’s choice  from our shop.

  2. Choose Frequency: Select the "Subscription" option and your desired delivery interval.

  3. Choose Size/Grind: Specify your bag weight and grind preference (Whole Bean or Ground).

  4. Checkout: Finalise your details to initiate your ongoing fresh coffee delivery.

Q: Is there flexibility if my needs change? Absolutely. We maintain a no-pressure environment. You can modify your bean choice, adjust delivery frequency, or cancel your subscription at any time via your account login.

About Mila Coffee Co.

Q: Who are the people behind the roast? Mila Coffee Co. was founded in 2015 by Brett and Lauren Davies. Brett, an Adelaide native, applies a palate honed in the wine industry to ensure every batch meets rigorous quality standards. Lauren manages the logistical architecture, design, and marketing that brings Mila to life. They operate locally in Adelaide, supported by their two children and their dog, Macchiato.
